Sunday, 3 March 2013. Fire and Fury Markers. The Fire and Fury rules make use of several markers to signify a brigade's or battery's status, order or movement mode during the battle. Some of these markers will be used quite often, others may only be used once or twice through out the whole game! Probably the most common marker used. Any brigade not disordered at some point during a game has not been doing their part! Disorder/ Silenced can be dead or wounded figures. Low on ammunition marker. Often we ju...

Dispatches from the Mess: February 2014
http://dispatchesfromthemess.blogspot.com/2014_02_01_archive.html
Saturday, 1 February 2014. SYW - Dillon's Regiment of the Irish Brigade. After months of sitting idle with only a black undercoat for any colour, I've finally finished painting up Dillon's Regiment of the French Irish Brigade of the 1740s - 1750s. I chose to have these superb Front Rank figures in full coats so that I could use them for the Jacobite Rebellion of the '45, as well as the War of Austrian Succession and the Seven Years War. Monday, 16 February 2015. It's certainly been a while since my last post but that doesn't mean I've been neglecting my beloved hobby. On the contrary, I've been busy putting together my first 4Ground buildings. These proved easy to make and are relatively inexpensive and should prove very durable for years to come. I brought mine from Warlord Games who provided excellent service and I took advantage of their free postage deal. Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.

Dispatches from the Mess: November 2012
http://dispatchesfromthemess.blogspot.com/2012_11_01_archive.html
Saturday, 17 November 2012. SYW - Fitzjames' Horse. As a result of doing some family history research a few years ago I discovered that my paternal ancestors were prominent within the Irish Brigade of France (largely recruited from Irish Catholics and known as 'The Wild Geese') during the 18th century. Hence, since that time I've had a fascination with regiments within brigade. The flag is one of the superb GMB flags made by Grahame Black, while the figures are Front Rank. Links to this post.
