Spijkers met Koppen en Muziekcafe. Ook hebben kwintetleden meegewerkt aan een tv uitzending. Van top 2000 in concert. Southern Brass heeft aan diverse opnames medewerking verleend. 8 Mei 2011 is het nieuwe programma Anders Anders samen met OBrazuMA in premiere gegaan in samenwerking met L1 Radio.

Woensdagavond in Heeze: overal zat het afgeladen vol: bij Gerard van Maasakkers en bij de twee locaties van Klassiek in Kerk en Kroeg. Het koperkwintet Southern Brass bleek te zijn uitgebreid met piano, drums en contrabas tot een orkest. Wat een verrassing! Verrassend ook dat ze buiten speelden met het oude kasteel Eymerick als achtergrond. Heel sfeervol. Ze brachten een afwisselend programma van klassiek, jazz en romantische liedjes. 14 september L1 uitzending 'Daar is mijn vaderland'.

De leden van Koperkwintet Southern Brass zijn allemaal werkzaam in de professionele Nederlandse Orkesten en de klassieke Muziek scene. Het kwintet werd opgericht in 1992 door studenten van de conservatoria van Maastricht en Keulen. de musici behoren momenteel tot de toonaangevende Nederlandse koperblazers. Is verbonden aan het Brabants Orkest. Sandor Hendriks is 1e trombonist in het Limburgs Symfonie Orkest. Patrick Spelthaen is trompettist en dirigent bij de Nederlandse Douaneharmonie.

Southern Brass is een koperkwintet bestaande uit koperblazers van verschillende Nederlandse orkesten.Het ensemble treedt momenteel op in een programma samen met een viertal gerenommeerde jazz solisten en zangeres Willeke Simons. De Roermondse zangeres Willeke Simons is een veelzijdig muzikante. Als hoboiste en althoboiste maakt ze al jaren deel uit van het harmonieorkest uit Heel. Ook maakte ze deel uit van het Jeugd Orkest Nederland. Jarenlang vertolkte zij solistische zangpartijen bij het jongerenkoor Papillon uit Posterholt. Willeke heeft lange tijd gewerkt als muziektherapeut en activiteiten begeleider bij de Koraalgroep. Sinds 2014 richt ze zich volledig op haar zangcarrière. Willeke verzorgt tevens prachtige muziek bij.
