Laquo; Cottage Romance. I’ve had the Merry and Bright fabric by Sandy Gervais for over 5 years in my stash (gasp)! I finally broke into the layer cake and made this quilt, and boy am I glad I did. I love it so much, and I also love love love the pattern. I used the Simple Layer Cake Pattern. Except I made it bigger. The piecing comes together so quickly too for an added bonus. I used this pattern for 30’s Squared. Prewash measurement: 67 x 76. Postwash measurement: 65 x 71. Back with some front.

She organized all the fabric to be sewn, and then she arranged all the squares all by herself. So proud of her! I didn’t think we’d get this one done for Halloween 2014, but we did! Southern Quilt Trail - Home

We have seven counties involved in the Southern Quilt Trail. Most are located in the northwest Georgia region with a new county on board from middle Georgia . Our mission is to promote and preserve the history of traditional folk art quilt patterns that have been handed down for generations, by displaying this unique art form on historical barns and buildings in our communities and the rural countryside. This preservation will create economic development through tourism marketing.
