The greatest WordPress.com site in all the land! Fishing Report July 27, 2015. South Holston River 8.16.15 →. South Holston 8.3.15. August. Most consider it the dog days of summer. Not here though. Not here on the South Holston River. Or the Watauga for that matter. The late summer bugs are still in full swing. Sulphurs of course. The dry fly fishing is still excellent. Technical, but still good. On the big water for the most part. When the TVA is running water, we are getting them from the boat.

We’re in the final week of May and we finally have some bugs on the South Holston River! Well, we always have them, but the sulphurs are finally starting to come off stronger recently. Hooray!
