Home Made South Indian Delicacies. Sunday, December 2, 2007. Besan (Gram dal flour -1 1/2 Cups. Rice flour - 1/2 cup. Green Chillies (Medium Size)- 4-6 (Per your taste). Large onions - 2. Melted ghee - 2 tbsp. Curry Leaves -1 Leaf. Sufficient Oil for deep fry. Baking Soda - 1 Pinch. Mix the flours with salt, soda, green chillis, curry leaves and onions. Add the melted ghee and mix well with fingers. Add few tablespoons of water and mix well that it forms a hard batter. Don’t add too much water.

Green Chillies (Medium Size)- 4-6 (Per your taste). Curry Leaves -1 Leaf. Chilli Powder - 1 Tablespoon. Sufficient Oil for deep fry. Soak Channa Dal for 1 hour. Chop Chillies very finely. Heat the oil in Kadai until it is ready to fry. Make small balls of the paste. Drop the shaped paste in the fried oil.
