Cranberry and Spinach Salad. 3/4 cup blanched and slivered almonds. 1 pound spinach (or silver beet). 1 cup dried cranberries. 2 TBSP toasted sesame seeds. 1 TBSP poppy seeds. 1/2 cup white sugar. 2 tsps minced onion. 1/4 cup white wine vinegar. 1/4 cup cider vinegar. 1/2 cup olive oil. In a medium pot, melt butter. Cook and stir almonds in butter until toasted. Remove from heat and allow to cool. It's usually at it's best 24 hours later.

Then I remembered that a couple of weeks ago I had bought a bag of frozen raspberries with the intention of making smoothies sometime when I felt like it. This recipe is kind of thrown together, but my first mouthful had me swooning. It's delicious. Perfection. Raspberry and Greek Yoghurt Smoothie. 2 heaped tablespoons of Greek Yoghurt (I used lite).

It is quite high maintenance but worth every bite. It doesn't last long! The icing is superb and best made first, before you start the cake. Go To Birthday Cake. 1 3/4 c flour. 1 1/2 tsp Baking Powder. 1 1/2 tsp Baking Soda. 1/2 c vegetable oil. 1/2 cup boiling water. 1/2 cup of fresh hot coffee. Posted by Rachel Lees.

If you want them to clean up their room to perfection, offer them some of this when they're finished. It always works! My recipe is an adaption from Sophie Dahl's which is found here. 250gms Crunchy Peanut Butter (I use Extra Crunchy). 300gms Icing Sugar (Powdered Sugar for you Americans who are reading this).
