A rezoning request (C-AB-2 - designation for bars) has been made by the owners of the former Time Out Lounge on Old Hammond Highway to relocate their bar to 3180 Valley Street, just over the railroad tracks behind Cuban Liquor. It is currently adjacent to the party supply store, "Parties Start Here". This rezoning request is being reconsidered by the Planning and Zoning Commission on Monday, August 18, at 5:00pm. As Item No. 22-14. This goes to all Planning Commission members.

The Southside Camera Club of Canberra meets on the second Thursday of each month. The club's Digital Special Interest Group meets on the fourth Thursday of each month.
