There are 12 Unitary, 4 County and 25 District council across the South West. 2015 was a major local authority election year, with elections in 33 of the 41 Councils. Cornwall Unitary, Wiltshire Unitary, Isles of Scilly Unitary, Cheltenham District and the County Councils did not have elections this year. Anti-Austerity Demo in Gloucester. Members of Cheltenham Green Party were in Gloucester last Saturday to protest against government cuts and continued austerity. We joined other groups including Positive Money, TUSC and the People's Assembly outside Shire Hall for a demonstration that was peaceful and inspiring.
