The Sower's Bible Studies on John: November 2009
http://thesowerbiblestudies2.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html
Monday, November 9, 2009. By Dr Michael Guido, D.D. Let's consider the significance. Life as used in the Bible denotes that which is physical or natural, that is, mere animal life. It refers to man's bodily life upon this earth. This form of life is propagated by human generation, and it's subject to physical death. Cried a millionaire, as he was dying, "All that I have I'll gladly give for 5 more minutes of life! How precious life is! Come to Him and you'll enjoy His life and light! Links to this post.

The Sower's Bible Studies on John: December 2009
http://thesowerbiblestudies2.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html
Wednesday, December 9, 2009. By Dr Michael Guido, D.D. The host answered, "There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.". Let's mark his message. It's written in John 1:7 and 8, "The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through Him might believe. He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light." With some men the messenger is often more important than the message. So they asked John the Baptist, "Who are you? Not, "Who is He? This series of messages...

The Sower's Bible Studies on 1st Peter: November 2009
http://thesowerbiblestudies3.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html
Monday, November 9, 2009. By Dr Michael Guido, D.D. The very thought of God's measureless mercy should cause thanksgiving. So it's written in 1st Peter 1:3 and 4, "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to His abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance." The hope is for the present, and the inheritance for the future. There'll never be crepe on the doorknob, no funeral train in the sky.

The Sower's Bible Studies: Matthew: Message Nineteen: Blessed Are The Meek
http://thesowerbiblestudies.blogspot.com/2011/02/message-nineteen-blessed-are-meek.html
Thursday, February 3, 2011. Message Nineteen: Blessed Are The Meek. But that’s not the meaning of the word “meek” in the Bible. And the Lord Jesus didn’t have such a person in mind when He said, “Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.”. 8221; Instantly he left his thieving for teaching, he exchanged his wretchedness to write the book of Matthew. “Once a thief, always a thief? 8220;Is the Lord speaking of a place? All Scripture verses are quoted from the New King James Version. The editor...

The Sower's Bible Studies on 1st Peter: October 2009

Friday, October 30, 2009. The Book of First Peter: Message Three. By Dr Michael Guido, D.D. Years ago a ship was in distress on the high seas because the supply of fresh water had run out. The sailors were afraid, and each one cried desperately for water. Just as they were about to give up hope they sighted a ship in the distance. At once they signaled for water. The only answer they got was, "Dip it up." What heartless mockery! Dip up salt water? Are you about to give in to hopeless hopelessness? This s...

The Sower's Bible Studies on 1st Peter: Message Sixteen
http://thesowerbiblestudies3.blogspot.com/2010/09/message-sixteen.html
Tuesday, September 21, 2010. A famous and fine drug firm stated the other day that 90% of all prescription medicines used today were unknown 17 years ago. Isn't that amazing. But God's presecription for sin hasn't changed since He, in the Garden of Eden, provided a covering to save us from our sins. Christ is still the only answer to your need. This is brought out in 1st Peter 1:22. The Bible says, "See that you love one another with a pure heart fervently.". Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

The Sower's Bible Studies: Matthew: Message Eighteen: Blessed Are They That Mourn
http://thesowerbiblestudies.blogspot.com/2010/09/message-eighteen-blessed-are-they-that.html
Wednesday, September 22, 2010. Message Eighteen: Blessed Are They That Mourn. A little fellow was down in the dumps. “What’s the matter? 8221; asked his neighbor. “I’m at the awkward stage,” he sighed. “I’m too old to cry and too young to cuss.”. I hope you’ll always be too young to cuss, but never too old to cry, for our Lord said in Matthew 5:4, “Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.”. 8221; you ask. “Does happiness come from a heart that’s pierced? 8221; Let’s see. The word “...

Tuesday, June 1, 2010. Message Fifteen: Follow Me. 8221; What Jesus wants, and what Jesus needs, is ordinary folk who’ll give Him themselves. Will you? This call is a privilege. Someone has said, “I should have been proud to have held the spyglass for Columbus, to have picked up the fallen brush for Michelangelo, to have carried Milton’s bag, and to have blackened Shakespeare’s boots.” But I can tell you something far more wonderful than that. What is it? What about your boats, Peter? 8221; He did! The e...

Tuesday, May 4, 2010. Message Fourteen: Our Lord's First Sermon. One day, many years ago, I was asked to preach my first sermon. “What,” I wondered, “shall I preach on? 8221; Turning to some of my preacher-friends, I asked, “What was the first subject you preached on? 8221; There are those who are saying, “Let’s forget our sins and shortcomings, our faults and failures. On with the program.” But no program is profitable if repentance is left out. There can’t be that de...This morning I picked up a prescr...
