우리는 노래할 준비가 되어있다 Telephones are ready to sing. Sound installation 20 corded telephones, capacitors, resistors, relays and sensors dimensions variable. 이제는 잘 사용하지 않는 유선전화기를 개조하여 전화기가 가진 ‘Sounder’의 본질적인 면을 탐구한다. 마치 미로처럼 흩어진 전화기들의 배열 사이로 관객들이 지나가게 되면 그 움직임에 반응해 전화벨소리가 울린다. 전화기에 있는 기존 사운드 칩에 Capacitor 같은 작은 부품들을 교체하여 전화기마다 조금씩 다른 소리를 만들어내고, 분해된 부품들을 살짝 변형된 형태로 재조립하였다. 이곳 저곳에서 간헐적으로 들리는 벨소리는 관객의 움직임, 엠비언스 등 연극적인 장치들과 어우러져 소리장치로써의 새로운 역할을 수행한다. Sound installation thin steel plates, dc motor, dc motor driver, wood and wires dimensions variable. 물 속의 물] 전시의 도입부는 ‘verse’라는 작업이다. 실제로 가동되고 있는 공장 위에 위치한 장소 특정성을 살리기 위해 여러 재료를 수집하였고 그 중에서도 얇은 철판을 사용하였다. 얇은 철판은 모터의 움직임에 의해 미세한 울음소리를 내게 되는데, 주로 금속을 가공하는 공장들이 즐비한 전시 장소를 상징적으로 보여주는 동시에 새로운 소리의 가능성을 보여주는 피사체가 되었다. 개인전, 인디아트홀 공, 서울, 한국 2014 서울시립미술관 신진작가 전시지원 프로그램. So wright it can't be wrong. Thursday, February 3, 2011. Miracles do happen…. This picture pretty much sums up how blessed we are. We’ve been the talk of the hospital for the last two days. Doctors and nurses have been in and out of our room all day asking to see our delivery pictures. Everyone says the same thing… “What a miracle”. We knew early on that the twins cords with entangled, but when you really see it, it unbelievable! We owe so much to everyone who prayed for the safe arrival of our girls.
