A blog about raising healthy vegetarian children in an omnivorous world. Friday, May 30, 2008. Back problems and baking. I had back surgery just over a week ago after a lifting injury at work in the ICU. After a few painful days of recuperation, I was mostly back to normal and BORED! So, I've been doing more baking than usual: chocolate chip cookies, sourdough bread, Blue Ribbon bread with recipe from Vegan Lunchbox. I was disappointed in my sourdough. A blog about raising healthy vegetarian children in an omnivorous world. Monday, October 27, 2008. Pot roast from Vegan Lunchbox. I've made the pot roast from Vegan Lunchbox many times. I like the flavor of it, but wanted to tweak the recipe a little bit. For one thing, I don't like how spongy it turns out. I prefer a firmer texture. Also, I wanted it to have a more savory flavor. A blog about raising healthy vegetarian children in an omnivorous world. Saturday, April 4, 2009. I've been gone a long time. Yes, I know. I have been a super-slacker in the blog department. Let me just say that has been a bit crazy! She is also on the MSPI diet for breastfeeding her seven month-old infant. Her kiddo is intolerant of far more than milk and soy, so it's been tough but she's sticking with it! Just how big a bite can you tear off and chew? Did you move to a new town, or just a new house?

I've also seen this called Chocolate Caramel Crackers. There's both a fasting and non-fasting version. The non-fasting one is the tastiest, of course (and what I brought for trapeza today), but the fasting one is incredibly good too! I've brought that in the past.). Poor Man’s Toffee.
