Tales from da motherhood. Reflections and observations of my life raising two boys. I alway knew it would happen one day … being mistaken for the nanny. So why did the moron. Who came to my door asking to speak to the “owner of the house” surprise me? It more than surprised me. I was livid. Even as I type this post, I can feel the loathing for that man rising up again. 8221; … until the moron came to my door a few days ago. The night the moron came to my door, I remembered how I was continually mocked by...

tales from da motherhood: February 2009
http://talesfromdamotherhood.blogspot.com/2009_02_01_archive.html
Saturday, February 21, 2009. After ball hockey this morning, Little Dude's coach offered him a Timbit from TH's very familiar SnackPack box. I wasn't surprised to hear daddy decline and was impressed to hear him counter Little Dude's many "I want some" pleas with a question instead of a negative. "Want some what? I want some meatballs," Little Dude demanded. We all laughed. Little Dude giggled, nervously. And, that was the end of that. No, Little Dude has never eaten Timbits. Monday, February 16, 2009.

tales from da motherhood: big imples
http://talesfromdamotherhood.blogspot.com/2010/01/big-imples.html
Tuesday, January 12, 2010. I'm sitting on the toilet. LittleR Dude walks to the open door and asks, "Can I come in? He sits on the stool directly across from me and notices a magazine hanging sideways on the towel rack. There's an ad showing the back of a woman. She has nothing on except a thin line of body lotion wrapping around the back of her neck mimicking halter top strings tied into a bow. Yes, she is.". She has big imples.". Her elbows are little big." More bony than big, I think to myself. Notes ...

Tales from da motherhood. Reflections and observations of my life raising two boys. Bath time q & a. The hubby has started the bath for the boys. Our 2 1/2-year-old is already in the tub while the water is running. The hubby looks at the expression on LittleR Dude’s face. 8220;Are you having a pee? 8220;Are you having a pee? A second later, LittleR Dude scoots away from the middle of the tub. 8220;Ah. Ah. I don’t want to sit in the pee! 8220;Are you having a pee? 8220;Yeah.”. Pee Rinse. Repeat. I am the ...

Tales from da motherhood. Reflections and observations of my life raising two boys. A few days ago, I put a letter for mailing on the kitchen counter. Of course, when I finally remembered that I had yet to mail it, I couldn’t find it. So I asked the boys if they had seen it. No, actually, I think I asked them if they had. I looked directly at Little Dude. He “mailed” one of my letters not too long ago. “Did you take my letter? I then turned my attention on LittleR Dude. “Did you take my letter? Feeling a...
