Roll one hundred: April 2012
http://roll100.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.html
Monday, 30 April 2012. I've been looking for a nicer-looking chestpiece for my Imperial Agent for some time now, since the Battlemaster chestpiece just doesn't suit her complexion at all. Today I found a customisable Sith Marauder Battlemaster chestpiece very cheap on the GTN and I just had to buy it to see how it'd look like. and it looks great and now I'm in love! Sure it's not a proper [Augmented] chest but it'll do for now. I'm a mean ninja girl with a big gun! Saturday, 28 April 2012. And there's an...

Colour Soufflé: GameOver Hate #3
http://perynne.blogspot.com/2013/09/gameover-hate-3.html
Wednesday, September 25, 2013. On Tuesday, we focused on the different forms of hate-speech and the labels associated with it. We examined the terminology and tried to come up with some common ground regarding our perceptions of what exactly is this thing called "hate speech". But first, a little morning gaming. Words connected to hate speech. She has been receiving online for her feminist work, and the other group concentrated on the case of Carolyn Petit and the grief she has been getting. Along with a...

Thursday, September 26, 2013. On Wednesday we had our first guest speakers through a video setup. Jari-Pekka Kaleva talked about the European Games Developer Federation. And what kind of work they do, and Brian Crecente, formerly of Kotaku. And currently working at Polygon. Talked about games and hate speech from a journalist's point of view. The theme of the day was academia, so we were concentrating on finding and discussing academic facts and thoughts about hate speech. Real trolling is a form of art,...

Colour Soufflé: Guild Wars franchise review
http://perynne.blogspot.com/2013/09/guild-wars-franchise-review.html
Wednesday, September 25, 2013. Guild Wars franchise review. Guild Wars 1 is a hugely succesful free-to-play MMO played by millions during it's heyday. The community consists mainly of ingame gamers and guilds, along with unofficial forums ran by major gaming sites. Guild Wars 1 doesn't have it's own official forum so it relies heavily on fans to spread information and make the community outside of the game a safe place to be. Guild Wars 2 tried to prevent this by breaking up the traditional Holy Trinity ...

Colour Soufflé: GameOver Hate #2

Tuesday, September 24, 2013. The Wall of Doom. The whole day culminated in the creation of Clans. First, we were tasked with making our own character sheets, where we created a game persona for ourselves (complete with class, weapons, strength and profile picture) which also reflected our real-life persona. We needed to think about how our game personas related to our real-life personas, and take our real-life strengths which we turned into the character's ingame strength. The lovely views keep me sane.

I don’t usually reblog things, but this is so well written I want everybody to read it. Phaedra Starling is the pen name of a romance novelist and licensed private investigator living in small New York City apartment with two large dogs. She practices Brazilian jiu-jitsu and makes world-class apricot muffins. Gentlemen. Thank you for reading. So far, so good. Miss LonelyHearts, your humble instructor, approves. And the Significant Otter. Lately, the Significant Otter has been bringing up the fact that we’re paying too much rent, and after a year or so we should look for something cheaper. It’s usually dressed in the form of “don’t buy stuff”. Well! Instead of buying new shelves to house my DVDs (our combined shelves were only enough for both our books and his DVD collection), I’ve spent the last couple of days rearranging the living room furniture so all bookshelves (the Ikea Expedit. Next project: The chairs.
