Margawriterville: March 2012
http://margawriterville.blogspot.com/2012_03_01_archive.html
Salt-rimmed tales from the road to publication. A periodic chronicle of living one life in pursuit of another. Friday, March 16, 2012. Not that I'd turn down either an agent or a publishing deal at this point, but I'd give them a lot more thought than I would have in 2009. Why? The rise of ebooks and indie publishing. Design a professional cover. Went live this ...

Salt-rimmed tales from the road to publication. A periodic chronicle of living one life in pursuit of another. Tuesday, December 02, 2014. When everyone is super, no one will be. I listen to Joanna Penn's podcast. Regularly. She's a certifiable success and role model when it comes to indie publishing and attracts high-level talent for her interviews. I've broadened my network and likely improved my craft just in the short time since I discovered her. And now to my point: should. All books be noticed?

Margawriterville: So many books, so little time.

Salt-rimmed tales from the road to publication. A periodic chronicle of living one life in pursuit of another. Tuesday, May 07, 2013. So many books, so little time. I know it sounds like a pity bumper sticker or t-shirt slogan, but that really sums up the loss of Randy Rohn, an outstanding writer and even better husband, father and friend. A prolific advertising writer for more than three decades, he had only recently moved into publishing short fiction. And even a novel. The older we get, our chances to...

Salt-rimmed tales from the road to publication. A periodic chronicle of living one life in pursuit of another. Thursday, April 19, 2012. Choose Your Friends Carefully. Well, that's what I did, anyway, and look what it got me. I'm posting a larger cover of my debut novel Ring of Fire. Here, mainly to give it a place to live so I can send out links. Now of course, this refers to a first draft, and we're talking ten chapters of a first draft that may ultimately have more than 20 chapters, but that's all I've outlined so far. So this is a very. Qualified celebration. But it feels like progress nonetheless. As avid readers of this blog know (Lock him up! When I realized I was ...
