Free spirit out seeing the world. August 26, 2013. To escape the 100 degree heat of Madrid, we were off to the cooler weather of San Sebastián- a summer hot spot and foodie Mecca (San Sebastian has more than 14 Michelin star restaurants) in a city that is less than 30 minutes from the French/Spanish boarder. As we turned on the street of our apartment we heard a friendly “hola! 8221; coming from the seventh floor corner terrace- our landlady. And taste great with an ice cold tinto de verano. We had so mu...
Sleepy in Madrid | Tinto de alma

Free spirit out seeing the world. August 19, 2013. Just a few of my things! After landing in Madrid, Brooke and I attempted and failed to meet up at the airport. The 15 minutes of free wifi, texting/calling, whatsapp, Facebook and email…and we still couldn’t get in touch. It’s 2013- when is universal wifi happening? Once I realized Brooke was at a different terminal than me (obviously the furthest away! I ran up to the car and banged on the door and he let me in. First miracle of the day. In the interest...

Free spirit out seeing the world. 8220;Hey Chicago, no matzo pizza! August 25, 2013. After a great night sleep, it was time to be awake in the city that will become our new home. David even put together my Spanish phone for me (different city, same technologically challenged chica). However, nothing is perfect! I’ve seen about 10 different apartments today- ...

San Sebastián: Pintxo Heaven | of rhyme & reason
https://ofrhymeandreason.wordpress.com/2011/11/05/san-sebastian-pintxo-heaven
Of rhyme and reason. San Sebastián: Pintxo Heaven. This entry was posted on November 5, 2011, in Spain. And tagged Basque Country. Ankita, Lauren and I arrived in San Sebastian on a rainy weekend. We were kind of bummed about the weather, but the city was beautiful nonetheless! We were anticipating the food to be the highlight of our trip anyway. San Sebastian is in the Basque region of Spain, way up in the northwest of the peninsula, right on the water. It took us about 5 hours by bus to get there.
