The Knowlan Adventure: Six Months
http://scknowlan.blogspot.com/2013/04/six-months.html
Sunday, April 28, 2013. Height: 24.5 inches. Weight: 16 lbs, 3 oz. Believe our growing boy is already 6 months old. Time flies when you're having fun, I know. but this is crazy! Gunnar's 6-month checkup went really well - he's staying steady on his growth path that has him almost. In the 50th percentile for weight and head circumference, and. 10th percentile for length, haha! This month, Gunnar slept his first-ever 12-hour stretch without waking! With pears, of course. Gunnar is on the move! During his s...

The Knowlan Adventure: Two Months
http://scknowlan.blogspot.com/2012/12/two-months.html
Saturday, December 8, 2012. Weight: 11 lbs, 3 oz. Gunnar is still a very active little boy. His legs and arms never. He has become much more aware, really checking out his environment and paying more attention to Mom and Dad. He is especially intrigued by Stuart and his wide variety of strange noises and voices. Of course, this new awareness means he is starting to fight sleep. He just doesn't want to close his eyes! Fortunately, nap times are the only battle; he sleeps very well at night! He is also mak...

The Knowlan Adventure: May 2012
http://scknowlan.blogspot.com/2012_05_01_archive.html
Sunday, May 27, 2012. It's a. BOY! I haven't been so good with the upkeep of this blog. mainly because I have been writing a weekly post on a pregnancy blog that I created for the sole purpose of turning it into a book that chronicles our journey. Most weeks, I go into way. More detail than I think others would care to read so I have kept that blog private. But seeing as I have been so negligent over here, I'm going to steal from my "book blog". Surprises and this was the biggest one I've had in a long, ...

The Knowlan Adventure: Three Months
http://scknowlan.blogspot.com/2013/01/we-forgot-to-measure.html
Tuesday, January 22, 2013. Height: We forgot to measure. I say it every month, but Gunnar is one active boy. He is non-stop when he's awake and loves to move. This doesn't bode well for me once he's mobile; I don't know if I'll ever get a chance to sit down! Be still, my heart. Sleeping has improved dramatically. He is consistently sleeping at least 7 hours the first stretch of the night which means lots of "us" time in the evenings! He has moved up to the big leagues and is already growing out. Awesome ...

http://scknowlan.blogspot.com/2012_11_01_archive.html
Monday, November 19, 2012. Wow, does it go by fast! Height: (At 2 week checkup) 19 inches. Weight: (At 2 week checkup) 6 lbs, 8 oz. Gunnar is on the move constantly! When he's awake, he is non-stop. He LOVES to kick his little legs and every once in a while, he throws some punches into the mix. He is working on tracking with his eyes and his ears and is getting better at turning his head to new sights and sounds. As with any newborn, lights are where it's at! And now, his one-week picture for comparison:.

The Knowlan Adventure: January 2012
http://scknowlan.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html
Sunday, January 22, 2012. Hutch and Izzy play a game every time we give them rawhides. It's called bone stealing. There are no rules.until we intervene. Still having trouble with the video player. Click here. To go to my vimeo page to watch. Last weekend, we went to the McKinney Falls State Park - a large, beautiful park 5 minutes from our house! I knew there would be advantages to living 11 miles outside the city! Unfortunately, Hutch got himself into trouble and was bitten by another dog. It was re...

The Knowlan Adventure: February 2013
http://scknowlan.blogspot.com/2013_02_01_archive.html
Tuesday, February 26, 2013. Weight: 14 lbs, 13 oz. Gunnar's 4th month was a busy one with lots of "firsts." He listened to us play instruments and sing to him for the first time! I can't believe it took us this long. He was completely entranced watching us and loved listening. He often joins in whenever someone is singing to him, but not when the instruments get involved - then, he's all ears. He even got the opportunity to play piano himself! He is still working on rolling from back to belly but we don'...

The Knowlan Adventure: August 2012
http://scknowlan.blogspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html
Thursday, August 30, 2012. This is much overdue. Things have been pretty busy around here; in fact, this was literally the busiest summer I've had in 5 years! And here it is, almost September. Time really flies when you need it to slow down. The next day my mom drove up from Jackson and picked me up so we could head to Springfield for Nicole's wedding. The weekend was a total blur (as weddings usually are), but I cherished the time I got to spend with her. I spent the next few days organizing and squeezi...
