And was most likely the same “Deborah” who married Henry prior to his enlistment. Deborah was the daughter of Joshua Whitman (1788-Aft1850) and his wife Catherine (1800-Aft1850). Regimental records indicate that Henry C. Long died while in the service. His death is recorded as having occurred on 7 July 1862 in New York. Pages 1 and 4.
