Sparkles is based in High Wycombe, South Bucks and is part of The South Bucks Down's Syndrome Group. Sparkles aim is to address the challenges of speech production, expressive language and communication associated with Down's syndrome. Supported by their parents, children work in small groups led by a Speech and Language Therapist, to learn strategies and activities which can be used at home to facilitate and develop communication skills. Sparkles needs around 15,000 a year to continue offering weekly speech therapy to the children at the current capacity. The charity organises a variety of fundraising events throughout the year, but donations are very welcome. Giving is easy. Simply go to the Sparkles page on the Just Giving website.
