Bayou Courtableau took us sweetly into the mouth of the upper Bayou Teche. The bayou's swollen banks allowed for a swifter paddle on this particular day. Temperature, in the mid 60's. . . perfect for a morning paddle! The first stage of the Bayou Teche did indeed have my full attention. The sights and sounds on the bayou were everywhere! Who's birthday are we celebrating today? To my surprise her response was . . . Mine! As her 84th year began it was celebrated with family and close friends. A prayer was prayed. The Michot boys came with accordion and fiddle in hand ready to blend their gift. God's gift of clarity He so graciously. Gave her that day. Yes, He certainly did!
