More than four years ago, Annette and Denis Mamo lost their 14-year-old son, Bryce, to cancer. Sunday afternoon, on what would have been Bryce’s 19 birthday, his family dedicated room 3104 of Windsor Regional Hospital, MET campus, to their son. In 2008, through the generosity, support and commitment of the community, the Sparkles Golf Tournament raised over $30,000. This money was donated to Windsor Regional Hospital’s Metropolitan Campus for a new medical day care room. The room is designed to create a “safe place” for children who are about to embark on a journey that will see them enduring some very intrusive and painful procedures.
