Cooking and blogging my way through anorexia recovery…. Cooked Barley Mix Up. Hence I came up with this recipe using barley and I was definitely NOT dissapointed! 1/2 cup barley (soak it for at least 2-3 hours before you cook). 1 medium bell pepper. Green peas (optional again). Put your soaked barley in a cooking pot and boil. Cut the tomato in small pieces and place in an iron pan. Add the water to your tomatoes and squish them to make a fresh tomato sauce. Cook the barley until it is soft (like rice).
