Fun and easy CD label art from Sharpies. This is a quick ten-minute craft that lets you decorate cds before you burn data to them, without needing to print labels or use a silly kit. The result is a colorful, fun cd that obviously wasn't made the normal way. CDs - It might be better to do this craft, then burn your data, in case you accidently scratch the cd. Sharpies, assorted colors. A discman - The cheaper the better. It will probably be fine when you're done, but there's some chance of breaking it.

Resize and mix and match to use as a steampunk stencil or wherever you need a bunch of different gears, cogs, wheels, etc. The printable stencil is easy to work with (to resize, adjust the percentage you print at). Light Switch Covers from Scrapbooking Paper. Light switch cover (called a wall plate) - about 1.00$ each at a hardware store. Scrapbooking paper - about 50 cents per sheet at a large craft store. Modge Podge or similar decoupage glue (white craft glue will work, but not quite as well). Paint brush (the cheap, big, clunky one normally reserved for child's projects). A screwdriver for the cover (usually phillips). Scissors and (optionally) an X-acto knife. Applying the paper to the cover.
