Skip to primary content. June 13, 2012. Writing this from a dinner table at the hostel. There’s radio blasting, but of course it’s all American music. It feels strange to be in a city whose history I’ve only heard about through books. Now I’ve seen it. Berlin’s history is in its streets, with its bullet hole-ridden walls, the Nazi architecture, the Jewish quarters, and all of the various memorials. I had to buy one.
