Keep the flame alive! Friday, July 31, 2015. Officially, A Cave Man, Today! After an interesting day around the various towns and villages of Cappadocia region. We drove down to the tiny town of Ürgüp and checked into our hotel for the night. Located in a narrow bylane of Ürgüp, it felt as though we were stepping back in time, into the Byzantine era. The television in the cave-room reminded us that we were in 2015 and not a thousand years back. It is quite an experience to stay here. A time to relax.

Keep the flame alive! Wednesday, August 20, 2014. Plane Spotting At SIN. Plane spotting at Sngapore, Changi Airport's Terminal 2 was a bit of a disappointment. Besides, Singapore Airlines and its affiliates - Silk Air, Tiger Airways and Scoot, there were hardly any beauties to spot. I frankly expected much more from Changi. Plane spotting from the Sunflower Garden - I could not resist clicking this beautiful flower with a bee on it. Finally something different - a Qatar Airways. And Etihad in the distance.

If anyone would ask a person from the generation of the 1970s or the 1980s, they would recall a few brands like Air-India. Being truly iconic. But it is really sad how these iconic brands can die,. Stands testimony to that! In the 1980s, the airline was truly a symbol of India's pride. Being a pseudo-socialist state in the outer orbit of the Soviet system, India as a country had little to project to the world.

On the latest in aviation, including the launch of the Boeing 787 Dreamliner. I received an interesting comment on the blog post from a gentleman, Mr. Rodrick Rajive. Yes, we have shrunk distances! Goes a long way from the Boeing 720s and 707s that I used to fly with my parents from Addis. The Second question is, in spite of the hype, will the Dreamliner.
