Smell The Coffee: A Wake-Up Call For The Conservative Party. Based on extensive research, this was an attempt to understand why the Tories kept losing elections and what they needed to do about it. Mixed fortunes in my final round of marginals. Friday, 1 May, 2015. After more than a year and nearly a quarter of a million telephone interviews, we have reached the final round of my general election constituency polling. The last ten surveys contain mixed news for all parties and some noteworthy results. I found Labour two points ahead of the Tories in Norwich North, only a very slight change from the one-point Labour lead recorded in the seat in February. In Pudsey, where two previous polls have ...

South Swindon, Thanet South and Sheffield Hallam - Lord Ashcroft Polls

South Swindon, Thanet South and Sheffield Hallam. Wednesday, 29 April, 2015. Today’s batch of marginal snapshots includes three of the most intriguing and closely contested seats of this general election campaign. South Swindon is a very tight Conservative-Labour marginal which I have polled twice before, finding a tie both times. My latest survey, completed yesterday, found the Tories with a one-point lead a statistically insignificant movement that leaves the seat too close to call. 8211; First publish...

How Scotland voted, and why - Lord Ashcroft Polls
http://lordashcroftpolls.com/2014/09/scotland-voted
How Scotland voted, and why. Friday, 19 September, 2014. Overnight I have polled more than 2,000 people who voted in the Scottish referendum. The results help us understand what happened, and why. The results indicate that the No campaign won among men (by a six-point margin) as well as women (by twelve points). As expected, older voters were the most decisively opposed to independence, with nearly three quarters (73%) of those aged 65 or over voting No. Just as the silent No voters produced a bigger mar...
