About the Strathspey Angling Improvement Association. The Strathspey Angling Association, as it was originally called, is located in the Morayshire town of Grantown-on Spey, within the boundaries of the Cairngorm National Park. Catch Statistics 1956 – 201. The break-down of these figures is displayed below. Reported catches for 2015. The 2014 season proved to be disappointing. The beginning of this season was entirely normal with reasonable catches of Spring salmon. The months of May, June and July proved to be hard work with very little rain fall and low river levels. However, August turned out to be quite wet with reasonable catches of salmon and very good sea-trout fishing. The break-down on these numbers is displayed, below.

Local member Peter Page with a fish of at least 32lbs which he landed at the Dulnain Mouth Pool on the 10th of September. Peter caught the 43.5 inch long fish on size 10 double fly of his own making. The fish was the largest from our 2010 season and was returned alive. Graham Erskine with a fish of over 25lbs caught at Tarric Mor on 16th June 2009. The fish was returned alive and was the largest reported fish of our 2009 season. Stewart Anderson with a fresh 19lbs fish which he caught on 15th April 2009.

Membership, Permits, Rules and Conditions of the Club. Scottish Government legislation now states that all salmon will be returned to the water alive, up to 31st March. However, this Association and the Spey Fishery Board recommend that all salmon be returned alive up to, and including 31st May. Spey Fishery Board conservation policy already states that -. All hen salmon and grilse must be returned to the river alive, throughout the season. Throughout the season, all stale or gravid fish must be released.

We are a family business processing Scallops in Buckie, Moray on the North East coast of Scotland. We have been in business for approximately 27 years and have around 25 staff (seasonal). Our main produce is Shucked King Scallops, and we have a by-product of clean Scallop Shells. We supply wholesalers / supermarkets in. Ireland on a daily basis. We have local boats which land to us regularly (depending on weather) and also our own Scallop Boat.
