A Blog Away From Home. Monday, July 12, 2010. Your funeral is tomorrow. I'm looking forward to it and at the same time dreading all the same things:. Seeing you for the last time. Seeing relatives I haven't seen since the last funeral or my wedding 9 years ago. Helping my daughter to understand your death and the celebration we will be having to honor your life. You being placed in the ground, your last resting place. The funeral is supposed to give me closure. I doubt it will give me that.

Every day, she worked the evening shift and was awake when her friends and family were either at work or sleeping, so she watched one Netflix. Movie a day (before there was streaming), read books and knit, but she was lonely. One day, she discovered a web log with good writing, started her own and bumped into some random, cool people.
