The animation has been driven entirely by our narrative needs rather than the technical brilliance of current software, so please don t expect a blow by blow account of how we remedied technical issues or how we created the rain. It s all about the story. Now that the site is presentable it will be updated regularly until completion of the animated short. GUESTBOOK | CONTACT | LEGAL |.

Thursday, 10 April 2008. Solar wins at Escape Awards. We recently attended the inaugural Escape Awards held at the Tate Modern in London after Solar was nominated for the Student in CG category. We had an incredible night, the venue couldn't have been more fitting and we were surrounded by arguably the most important and talented people in the VFX and CG industry. Escape Studios did a fantastic job of the awards and we both eagerly await future events from them. More info on the Escape Awards website here.

124; Anatomy | CGI / Killing Time. 124; CGI |. Killing Time is a short animation I am currently working on with Robin Clarke, a friend of mine. This is the first scene we animated and fully rendered . It has been used as the benchmark for all others to follow. Probably one of the most challenging as the character animation sequence was complicated and the visuals were then just layout and character designs. There is no real shortcuts at that size as we realised. Preparing a meal, welcoming a loved one?

Tuesday, June 11, 2013. I'm scared I won't like the things I use to, the loud hustle of the city, the small spaces filled with unfamiliar faces, the stereotypical big city dreams. This is something else. I would have never taken this opportunity a couple years ago, and I took it on a whim. I immediately regretted it as soon as I sent my in my contract, but things in Toronto were dramatic and i wanted an out. So here I am 65 degrees above the latitude line in a little town called norman wells.
