And it didn't turn out melon coloured, as has been a problem in the past when trying to get a shirt red. This poem was written for the church service on Christmas Eve where my family was responsible for the aspect of joy during advent. So crisp and clear. The warmth and comfort of bed so vastly unimportant. When there's a tree and presents downstairs. Not waking mum and dad. Who say six am is too early. The tree comes into view. So young and new.
