Robots in the Dust: November 2006
http://robotaos.blogspot.com/2006_11_01_archive.html
Robots in the Dust. A blog about my move to New Mexico and the building of my new shop! Sunday, November 26, 2006. A few weeks ago I said that we'd had the first snow of the year. Well I guess that was technically true, but yesterday morning was MUCH cooler! This pic was taken around 8 AM. Twenty minutes later the sky cleared, and six hours later the snow had all melted; you couldn't even tell it had happened! Posted by Robox at 5:35 PM. Wednesday, November 22, 2006. He was surprisingly easy to catch, an...

Robots in the Dust. A blog about my move to New Mexico and the building of my new shop! Thursday, July 27, 2006. I had some requests for a picture of the inside of the cabin. so here it is! This is a rather hastily assembled montage of four pictures taken through the south facing window. the doorway is on the right. Another request was for a map showing the layout of the land and the spatial relationships of everything. I just love fulfilling requests! Posted by Robox at 8:39 AM. Saturday, July 15, 2006.

Robots in the Dust: October 2006
http://robotaos.blogspot.com/2006_10_01_archive.html
Robots in the Dust. A blog about my move to New Mexico and the building of my new shop! Sunday, October 29, 2006. In the last post I said I'd put up a pic of a very cool thing I got at the scrapyard in Albuquerque. Well, for all you gearhead dorks like me, here it is! It's an old piece of earth-moving equipment called a "clamshell." One of the guys at the scrapyard said he thought it probably came from one of the mines here in New Mexico. Maybe it's radioactive! This pic was taken at the end of a very lo...

Robots in the Dust: February 2007
http://robotaos.blogspot.com/2007_02_01_archive.html
Robots in the Dust. A blog about my move to New Mexico and the building of my new shop! Wednesday, February 07, 2007. Yes, yes. long time no blog. So what else is new! Winter keeps slogging along here in the "desert". I've come to a conclusion about winter. Personally, it doesn't bother me. I like the snow, I like winter clothing, and I sort of like the cold. BUT, the havoc that it wreaks on equipment and systems is a big fat pain in the ass! I'm ready to move in already, dammit. View my complete profile.

Art Is The Proper Task Of Life: July 2011

Art Is The Proper Task Of Life. Help us get our projects to Burning Man! Thursday, July 14, 2011. A lot of times it seems like life moves too fast to blog about it. That’s especially true when you’ve got a baby. Amazing, interesting things happen, and you think: “I should blog about that,” and the next thing you know you are changing diapers and trying to get to sleep so you can actually work the next day. But here are some highlights from the last few weeks…. The truck is a 1991 International 4900.

Art Is The Proper Task Of Life. Help us get our projects to Burning Man! Friday, June 3, 2011. Well, yes. it's been a little over 6 months since I posted last. But you know, things happen. Life gets in the way. Etc. Needless to say, a lot has happened. Kodiak is 6 months older (which is a big deal in the infant world! I built a big new sculpture. I am about to start on a new one. And then there's the eagle. Next up, Christina and Kodiak and I went to NorCal to get my mom's car and drive it back here....

Art Is The Proper Task Of Life. Help us get our projects to Burning Man! Wednesday, September 15, 2010. Lately, I cannot get enough of the Magnetic Fields' 3-part magnum opus, 69 Love Songs. The lyrics and melodies are so good, that I actually think I am becoming a better singer through singing them to myself all the time! The truth is that songs from this 3-album work make up about 95% of what I sing to KB, too! KB is already a fan of the Magnetic Fields! Current favorite songs are:. 8226; Grand Canyon.

Robots in the Dust: March 2007
http://robotaos.blogspot.com/2007_03_01_archive.html
Robots in the Dust. A blog about my move to New Mexico and the building of my new shop! Saturday, March 31, 2007. The house is finally holding heat the way it should. In this pic you can also see the burly new front tires on the forklift! Oh boy, look at those tires! The interior is getting closer and closer, too. In both of these pics you can see that the interior plaster is now done. More than anything else so far, this step really unified the interior into one finished visual space. Two views of the k...

Art Is The Proper Task Of Life. Help us get our projects to Burning Man! Thursday, August 4, 2011. Burning Man is right around the corner. OK, I am calm now. Face Forward is looking awesome, but not finished. Christina's project, Caged Pulse Jets, is also looking awesome and not finished. We need one last little push to get the funds to complete these projects and to transport them all the way to the deserts of Nevada! But don't worry. that's why we are having an kick-ass fundraiser on August 14th!
