What is the NUS Splashdown event about? The NUS Splashdown mass swim and swimathon event is an annual project organized by the NUS University Lifeguard Corps. In past years, the mass swim was organized not only to promote lifesaving as a sport and a skill but also to foster interest and awareness in swimming. Support from the NUS population has always been well received as well as from various varsity teams. Objectives of the event:. 1 To raise awareness of water safety. 2 To promote lifesaving as a sport.
