Lisa Takes Flight: Canoe Trip - Fall 2012 - Part ll
http://lisatakesflight.blogspot.com/2012/11/canoe-trip-fall-2012-part-ll.html
Wednesday, 14 November 2012. Canoe Trip - Fall 2012 - Part ll. DAY TWO – Sunday September 30, 2012 – 10.5 miles. The previous evening we’d noticed another point of land about half a mile away that looked like it might be a possible campsite. We decided since it was on our way that we’d check it out in case we ever decided to come back this way. The point could definitely hold a tent but the area wasn’t as big or as flat as where we had camped. After dinner I checked to see if we had any cell service and ...

Lisa Takes Flight: October 2011
http://lisatakesflight.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html
Thursday, 27 October 2011. Sometimes I'm Afraid to Blog. The title says it all. This saddened me, and made me begin to re-think everything I posted. It is exhausting when you have to examine everything you write and then go back over it with a fine-tooth comb and question whether one of your readers could misconstrue what you wrote. I sometime go for weeks between postings because I am just too lazy to cleanse my entries. It defeats what I initially thought was one of the purposes of blogging. I’ve...

Thursday, January 22, 2015. Bless you kind sir! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). I am just your average guy who has always had a yen for Ironman. I started seriously looking at triathlon in 2008 and I have never looked back. This blog was started to document my progress to Ironman 2010. Since then I have completed Ironman Canada and four 1/2 iron races and numerous other events. Then. for whatever reason, I started blogging again after a couple of year hiatus. go figure. One Crazy Summer: April 2014
http://once-upon-a-bike.blogspot.com/2014_04_01_archive.html
Sunday, April 27, 2014. Blood on the Tracks. Today we were all about the 15K. Drank loads of water last night and even though we were tempted to imbibe a bit more than that, we took the high road and resisted all temptations. Once at the park this morning, there was quiet confidence exuding from the runners as we all knew what lay ahead. Lots of long stares down the pavement with runners visualizing the course and the three laps that would make up the 15K. The race its self was actually not that bad unti...

Sunday, November 30, 2014. Like I would Actually be in There. Nice sleep in and a coffee in the hot tub to warm-up the legs before the inevitable workout. Today - The Wretched. MEC says my GSC10 should be here this week and I will be back with more useable data, but in the meantime the above will have to suffice. I am very curious how it all turns out when I get it all hooked up. I might even guess that I might be working harder without my speed. who knows. Wednesday, November 26, 2014. Shut Up, Legs!

Lisa Takes Flight: January 2012

Friday, 13 January 2012. Another year in the books – Random Thoughts - 2011. At the end of 2010 I threw out a random list. Of things that were on my mind – some from the year that had just passed, and other things that were just “on my mind” and were really not worthy of devoting an entire blog to. Since this will be my first blog post of 2012 it will be more reflective on the past year than anything else. I have a Twitter account, but I still really don’t get Twitter…. Wednesday, 9 May 2012. A Trip Back in Time. For my wonderful and 'forever' friend, "N". The same as we did back in grade 2 ;0). Aside from a brief visit at the Winnipeg Folk Festival about 10 years ago we hadn’t seen each other since University days by which time we had pretty much gone our separate ways – I had moved to a different town after grade 10 and different majors had taken us in different directions - our paths hadn’t crossed much after that. 8220;N” and I were, in my eyes, inseparable fo...
