Saturday, June 1, 2013. Trending: The Bold Racing Stripe. It's incredible how adding one big fat stripe can instantly modernize a super traditional piece of furniture, or bring interest to a lackluster one. I've been finding myself drawn to this look more and more lately for those very reasons, especially when done in stark black and white or bold global patterns! I might have to go get some painters tape and start priming my boyfriend's dresser this weekend! All photos via pinterest or houzz.

Adding a bright pop of colour to just the inside edge of a door seems like the easiest and most simple idea to add color into your room without going overboard- so simple that I keep on saying to myself, "Why didn't I think of that? I always love a hint of unexpected color and this edge detail just so happens to be perfect. So what do you think? Are you loving this bold stroke as much as I am? Peace and love,. The technique alone is fascinating with multiple misty, dripping layers.
