Becclyn Quilts: February 2015
http://quiltsbylisa.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Friday, February 20, 2015. May 2012 - March 2013. McCalls Quick Quilts March 2008 (severely modified). I liked the pattern and I wanted to use some blocks Grandma gave me. Special Fabrics / Best Buys. Many of the blocks including the 4 in the centre were given to me by Grandma. My Aunt who works at a fabric store let me know when the perfect navy came in to the store. Gave to Dad for his 60th birthday. I hand quilted this one. It's been a really long time since I've done that. 7 Down 5 to Go.

Becclyn Quilts: Baby Hexis
http://quiltsbylisa.blogspot.com/2015/05/baby-hexis.html
Sunday, May 3, 2015. Best Buys / Special Fabrics. The hexis were a gift from a friend. The grey was a gift from a sister. Don't assume gifted pre-cuts are the same size (I do this often.). This is my first finish of the year (beside ten potholders). I have MANY tops waiting to be quilted. It is quite likely LBCQ will be doing a show at the library again this fall. I'll save this for the show. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. Bad Ass Quilters Society. Little Bits of Comfort.

Becclyn Quilts: December 2014
http://quiltsbylisa.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Monday, December 29, 2014. In 2014 I finished four UFOs, made five new quilts start to finish and completed eight projects for the local pregnancy care centre. I wish my UFO count was higher. Here's a list of my current UFOs in pictures:. Purple Jacob's ladder - barely started and - is this called Trip around the World? I don't know - but I'm adding more outside the black border, just to make it larger. Saturday, December 27, 2014. Aka "They Say Taupe is Very Soothing". Based on http:/ ladyharvatine....

Happiness is a finished quilt! Running (and quilting) ahead! May 26, 2016. May 26, 2016. I had started out in the new year choosing my “Word of the Year” as Flourish! Well, I have been flourishing but falling down in my blogging! Hoping the second half of the year will be better. I had a PR of 2:20:25, that’s 10:43 min/mile! I shaved off 9 minutes! Now My husband, Michael, and I are training for the Newport 10 Miler in 9 days on June 5th. Hoping for good weather! What do you think? February 14, 2016.

Kim's Krafts: A New Job and Projects!!
http://kimskrafts.blogspot.com/2014/09/a-new-job-and-projects.html
Friday, September 5, 2014. A New Job and Projects! A few months ago the ladies from Spool. Put a call out for some folks to help them with testing patterns and making samples for the store. I immediately applied and was accepted. I love those ladies and what they stand for! I received my first project last week and it was one I had been dying to make! I put the together with black sashing, then a border of the 3 colors and black binding. Take care and happy sewing! September 5, 2014 at 12:57 PM.

Thinking about art, hoping to make some. Tell Me Why It’s So*. August 26, 2016. Stay for the real art! This is how I keep my head straight. Well, as straight as it ever is. I do exhibit in art shows too…but that’s a challenge as well. So. I guess I’m up for some more challenges. Bring it. And it’s messy again. That’s my real issue with cleaning. It’s a big quilt. Not as big as the last one. Taller than I am. Not that that means much. My students make cover pages for each science unit, and I always do one...

Thinking about art, hoping to make some. Pouring Down All Over Me. August 27, 2016. Finally was able to name this one…. I’ve been calling her Earth Mother 2016. Since I started her in April. I knew I wanted to do another Earth Mother. I’ve done a few over the years. Well, more than a few. So I named it Holding It All In. The one I’m working on right now already has so many titles. I will have to choose. I sent one dog to her dad’s to play. Two is easier, but only slightly. August 24, 2016. Prior to remov...
