My Social Media Pages. March 21, 2015. The question is who’s responsibility is it to help educate these coaches? It appears that in some places, nobody is taking responsibility for this. There are however some excellent examples of leagues out there who are trying to combat this and include things like the mercy rule where if the score gets to a certain point, the game is abandoned and the rest can be continued as a friendly game. So what can coaches do to help even up the score line? Mix the teams up.

I used to go observe sessions and sit down and have a chat about it before and after as well as being on the end of a phone etc if needed.
