けしの実ケーキとか、ポピーシードケーキといったものがあります。私も好きなケーキの１つですが、けしの実って・・・！！モルヒネが入っていてドーピング違反になったりしないのでしょうか？それをまじめに検討したのが、本論文です。 Urinary concentrations of morphine and codeine after consumption of poppy seeds. 最近・・・. 通勤時間に論文を読んでいるんですが、まだまだ読み終わっていない本などもあり・・・。 スポーツ選手に対して降圧薬としてbeta受容体遮断薬を用いる際、いくつかの要素によってスポーツのパフォーマンスが低下してしまう現象が知られています。病態によってはbeta受容体遮断薬が必須である場合もありますが、そうではなく本態性高血圧のみの場合はbeta受容体遮断薬をスポーツ選手に対しては用いづらい印象があります。古い論文ですが、この現象をヒトに対して筋肉の生検をして検討した報告があります。現在では、倫理面から実行が難しいのではないか？と思いますので、非常に貴重な結果です。 Effect of beta 1-selective and non-selective beta-blockade on work capacity and muscle metabolism.
