For show, agility, obedience, coursing.or just to love. Dharian basenjis are well-known for their performance ability and have been nationally recognized in lure-coursing, obedience, and agility as well as conformation. But our primary emphasis in breeding is health and temperament. Our dogs are have DNA on file with the Canine Phenome Project. And all breeding stock is screened eye disorders, hip dysplasia, and for Fanconi syndrome using the new DNA marker test. Heart of the Plains Kennel Club.

In 2003 I met my first Leonberger while working as a technician at a vet clinic. Those dogs and their owner, Waltraut Zieher (Kennel von Stutensee), made an indelible impression. I was lucky enough to have helped Waltraut with several of her litters (O, P, Q, S, and U) and, along the way, learn what being a conscientious breeder truly entails.
