http://autismisourtrip.blogspot.com/2013_07_01_archive.html
Autism is our trip. Come along for the ride. Tuesday, July 23, 2013. Being a Sister is Hard. Especially when your sibling is autistic! My sister Laurie is my favorite kid in the world, but she’s also kind of annoying at times. I mean, she escapes, and I have to drop everything and catch her whether or not it breaks my iPod. When she climbs on top of the TV, I have to get her down. It is seriously hard being the sister of an autistic kid. Sunday, July 21, 2013. I think that Annie is Laurie's biggest champ...

The customer suggested a Nintendo handheld system with certain games that help with socialization and/or developing skills, and went into detail about how they can help people with autism. He then showed us the games and the different systems, and gave us the pros and cons of each system. He really knew his stuff! I sincerely hope that GameStop hires this young man. He was able to talk to me about lulu '. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Autism is our trip. Come along for the ride. Sunday, August 3, 2014. Myerrumm.annie's harry potter party. I finished that book the very day of the movie premiere, on November 16, 2001, and insisted that the hubs take me to see the movie on opening night. It was so awesome! That was the day that I decided that our then-nonexistent children would have Harry Potter birthday parties. How could I possibly have my.err.umm, her. Harry Potter birthday party if she wouldn't even read the books? So we decided to h...

Autism is our trip. Come along for the ride. Monday, August 19, 2013. If you have had young kids in your life, you might remember when they would become sick or get hurt, or perhaps you're living through it now. I found that it was especially difficult when the girls were babies. It was always a mystery trying to figure out what in the heck was wrong with them since they couldn't speak. We packed her up into the car, took her to the doctor, and picked up a handy-dandy antibiotic prescription. If she's un...

In my experience, it's almost always due to frustration because of an inability to be understood, hearing the word "NO," or a change in the routine or expectations. But along with that, her tantrums have escalated to a surreal level. With ...
