Spotted on the Trail

Spotted on the Trail. Thursday, June 2, 2011. Meanwhile, Back at the Ranch. (Buzzard Gulch. Sue's place) May 2-6. The week before my first Region 1 NATRC competition: Mt. Diablo. Buddy is still watching the goats and sheep, but not as afraid as before. One more new thing to mark off the list. Night riding. The rest of the day was spent getting ready to go to the ride: getting everything organized, shopping for groceries, and getting the truck and trailer hooked up, as on Friday we go to Mt. Diablo...

Spotted on the Trail: Trip to Jane's in Auburn April 29-30

http://spottedonthetrail.blogspot.com/2011/06/trip-to-janes-in-auburn-april-29-30.html

Spotted on the Trail. Thursday, June 2, 2011. Trip to Jane's in Auburn April 29-30. Jane and her parents live on the same property so, it's easy to visit with everyone. Her Mother cooked a wonderful meal. It was fun to reconnect with Jane, her husband and her parents. I hadn't seen them all since 2005 when some of us Region 6 NATRC folks, Jackie Hathorn, Bill Hinkebein, and Liz Kendall came out to "do the Tevis". Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). There was an error in this gadget. Google Map of my trip.

Spotted on the Trail. Wednesday, January 12, 2011. Just Added a Google Map to the Blog. Wow, what a learning experience. It certainly isn't done, but it's a start. See what you think! I think it will be kinda cool when I get it all defined and refined. Next blog will be a listing of To-Do lists. There are a bunch of them! Days are still moving too quickly. Snow and frigid temps aren't helping too much to do outside preparation. Looking forward to warmer and dryer weather in the South West. I'm being remi...

Spotted on the Trail: February 2011

http://spottedonthetrail.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html

Spotted on the Trail. Wednesday, February 23, 2011. I am back on track and making plans to "make tracks". But first, after writing a few posts, I have come to realize not everyone who reads this actually knows who I am. So I guess a small "back story" is called for. So here it is. Why go to California? What will I do when I get there? Who is going with me? It's just going to be me, Buddy and Charlie. Buddy is a 16 year old gaited Appaloosa, who was given to me by my niece, since he was so spoiled she...

Spotted on the Trail: May 2011

http://spottedonthetrail.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html

Spotted on the Trail. Monday, May 23, 2011. Hanging with the Vaqueros (riding with Lazaro). Lazaro rides with a traditional Mexican saddle, it has exposed rigging and a HUGE horn, doesn't look very comfortable, but he seems to like it. It is really heavy, and Paris is a tiny mule, but it doesn't seem to bother her. I great them all in Spanish, Lazaro ties up Paris and goes to get his 3 year old Quarter Horse Stallion. This horse is small, but cute. Nice head and a pretty shiny bay color. I notice Lazaro ...

My adventures with Intrigue's Firestorm, an 11yo Kentucky Mountain Saddle Horse stallion, with a great endurance horse future. Saturday, August 14, 2010. Has it been so long?
