A Typical Day - Springboard Academy

Each day begins with free play, where children may choose from many engaging exploration stations. During the stations teachers observe and engage with the children or pull them aside for small group math or literacy based activities. This is followed by a short group time during which we sing songs, read stories, and introduce a structured activity all related to our current project. All work is added to each child's learning journal. So, as a parent, you know exactly what we did that day.

Live, Love, Learn. Parts of a Flower. Busy morning doing some home tutoring! We began with our science exploration. We're finishing up a unit on plants. Today we worked on identifying the parts of the flower and sorting and classifying different plant parts we eat. Then on to math. Place Value Work (100's, 10's, and 1's represented by different sized bears). Numbers and Number Words. Montessori Pink Tower and Brown Stairs work. Working together to add a dragon "wing". Adding the "robot parts" for the bomb.
