Getting off easy | Blob's Bog
https://hsiung.wordpress.com/2009/08/25/getting-off-easy
August 25, 2009. 8212; hsiung @ 8:55 am. The other weekend Shim commented that it seemed like I was “getting off easy” with Jaclyn’s pregnancy. I have to admit he’s right. Sure, there was vomiting and emotional craziness in the first trimester, but it was pretty mild compared to what I had heard/read about it. Since then it’s been smooth sailing – nothing but happy moods, sushi and dark beer cravings and flatulence. 8221; The message for dads was “DO WHATEVER SHE TELLS YOU TO DO! 8221; Which is pretty mu...

Lily's Random Diversions...: Rewind, Unwind and Ramble along
http://gobilily.blogspot.com/2007/04/rewind-unwind-and-ramble-along.html
My Space to Remember, Reflect and Recharge. Saturday, April 7, 2007. Rewind, Unwind and Ramble along. Two weeks of go, go, go. Now is time to rewind and unwind. My upper chest and left arm still suffer from stinging pain. As a result of shingles. Unfortunately, not the kind one puts on the roof. My mind is scanning for moments from last week. That left imprints on the trail I trotted along. As if I'm trying to pick the fruits. Dangling from the tree of memory. Sunday, March 25 th. With all kinds of VegeF...

Things I’ve learned this past week | Blob's Bog
https://hsiung.wordpress.com/2010/03/11/things-ive-learned-this-past-week
March 11, 2010. Things I’ve learned this past week. 8212; hsiung @ 12:41 pm. Being conservative about wanting to perform surgery is generally a good thing in an orthopedist, I suppose. But if it means waiting 5 months, doing physical therapy, getting a custom-fitted “Tom Brady” brace and then repeatedly reinjuring myself before he finally decides surgery is necessary, next time, I think I’ll go with a not so conservative orthopedist. In addition to the oxycodone, they also gave me an Aircast Cryo Cuff.

July 16, 2009. 8212; hsiung @ 8:19 am. Cousin Mae introduced “Exquisite Corpse” as a fun way to pass the time between rounds of blackjack and Russian poker at the Hsiung family reunion this past July 4th weekend. The idea is you pass around folded bits of paper and you can’t see what you’re adding to. Fun! June 20, 2009. 8212; hsiung @ 11:48 am. For the people who wanted to know what the daxophone looks like, it’s on the round orange table at the bottom left corner. June 2, 2009. 8212; hsiung @ 10:46 pm.

My Space to Remember, Reflect and Recharge. Thursday, November 29, 2007. Tie Guan Yin - Black Tea or Green Tea? Opened a new can of Tie Guan Yin tea at work today. My cube neighbor, SS, turned to me for expert opinon, and asked what kind of tea that is. “Is it black tea or green tea? 8221; I was caught off guard. Gee, I should know the answer considering that I’m from a country known for its tea! 2 Half-fermented tea (Oolong [Tie Guan Yin], Pu'er). 3 Un-fermented tea (Green tea such as Longjin). Back to ...

Lily's Random Diversions...: First Snow Fell on 12/1/2007

My Space to Remember, Reflect and Recharge. Saturday, December 1, 2007. First Snow Fell on 12/1/2007. One layer after another, fluffy snow is gently wrapping up everything in a white coat. Silently yet assertively. It came upon us after a month of surprisingly nice November weather. It somehow adds a certain wintry authenticity to the holiday season. There was a lot of food, a lot of people and we had a lot of fun. Most of the people are in the shipping and logistics business. Posted by Gobi Lily.

My Space to Remember, Reflect and Recharge. Tuesday, June 19, 2007. Two weeks ago (5/25-27), I had just returned from the East Coast, and hadn't yet recovered from the long flights, one of which was a red-eye. Now I was flying out to the East Coast again, this time, for a conference in Savannah, a town famed for its "Southern charm and hospitality. As part of my trip preparation, M checked out a book by John Berendt. Park The architecture - distinctive. I was anxious to check in at the Hyatt Regency.

Lily's Random Diversions...: July 2007
http://gobilily.blogspot.com/2007_07_01_archive.html
My Space to Remember, Reflect and Recharge. Wednesday, July 4, 2007. Southern Oregon Coast Trip (6/29-7/1). This trip was meant to be a surprise trip. But with the way my mind works, I'm in the habit of chipping away the suspense built around a surprise. Too much of a planner, or rather a spoiler at times. I "eavesdropped" on one of M's phone conversations with a friend of his and had an idea of where we might be going this weekend. We almost hit that guy! Maybe the blackbear was a sign - he was trying t...
