Idiocy Happens: October 2006
http://idiocyhappens.blogspot.com/2006_10_01_archive.html
Comments about whatever idiocy happens to be happening today! Friday, October 27, 2006. Here we go again, its election season! Great, that means I can’t watch TV for 3 or 4 weeks without getting punch-drunk on idiocy. The ads I see on TV appear to be produced with the expectation of the viewer’s political ignorance. ‘Santorum votes with George Bush 98% of the time’ one ad spouts. Why is Bush voting; and what is he voting for? He is the president, he doesn’t vote, he signs! Links to this post. In exchange...

Idiocy Happens: November 2006
http://idiocyhappens.blogspot.com/2006_11_01_archive.html
Comments about whatever idiocy happens to be happening today! Thursday, November 09, 2006. It seems to me that this election was the most anti-one-party in recent history. The republicans had a platform in 1994, and most of the people voted for it. This year, the democrats had no such platform; and the leadership virtually disappeared during the last two weeks beforehand (except John Kerry, bless his heart! Links to this post. Idiocy Happens: In response to "Immigrants are opportunity"
http://idiocyhappens.blogspot.com/2010/08/in-response-to-immigrants-are.html
Comments about whatever idiocy happens to be happening today! Wednesday, August 25, 2010. In response to "Immigrants are opportunity". In response to Daron Christopher's letter "Immigrants are opportunity" (May 14 and TribLIVE.com): The proposed Pennsylvania legislation that he criticizes, like its Arizona cousin, is not anti- immigrant; it is anti-illegal immigrant! When will you people have the intellectual honesty to acknowledge that this measure and measures like it are to address a specific problem?

Comments about whatever idiocy happens to be happening today! Friday, May 14, 2010. In response to Immigrants are Opportunity (TribLive Friday, May 14, 2010). The proposed legislation, like its Arizonan cousin, is not anti immigrant; it is anti ILLEGAL immigrant! When will you people have the intellectual honesty to acknowledge that this and measures like it, are designed to address a specific problem. A problem, by the way, that 70% of LEGAL immigrants recognize as a threat to them!

Comments about whatever idiocy happens to be happening today! Friday, February 13, 2009. Do not give us health care. In response to "Give us health care" (TribLive, Friday, February 13, 2009). Gary, the length and breadth of your misunderstanding of America is mind-numbing! Did you grow up here? A wealthy citizenry provides freely for those less fortunate. Well, picture healthcare in Cuba or The pre-1990 Soviet Union, where only a small number of elite party members can achieve anything similar to a rout...

Comments about whatever idiocy happens to be happening today! Wednesday, July 25, 2007. Victims of our own success. John Stossel says it with so much more eloquence ( 'Good News: The World gets Better'. Whether it is the environment, poverty, homelessness, or even anti-capitalist protestations, Americans have the luxury to pursue their convictions because of a free market economy and adherence to the rule of law. We live better than any society has ever lived, anywhere; and we take it for granted. In reg...

Idiocy Happens: What State Department?
http://idiocyhappens.blogspot.com/2009/09/what-state-department.html
Comments about whatever idiocy happens to be happening today! Monday, September 21, 2009. I think that a well-balanced democracy following the rule of law and ousting a leader who extra-constitutionally tried to become a dictator is a good thing. So, how's come the US is punishing Honduras? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. Previous happenings of Idiocy. 800lb Gorilla in the room. Idiocy Happens: Competition Prescription
http://idiocyhappens.blogspot.com/2009/08/competition-prescription.html
Comments about whatever idiocy happens to be happening today! Monday, August 17, 2009. In respoonse to 'Competition Prescription' TribLive letter from Jay Lynch on 8/17/2009. Do your apples taste like oranges? I have heard this argument many times n the last few weeks, and it seems no one ever challenges the basic premise! Yet this argument has been applied to healthcare? Government intervention is the current leader in responsibility for escalating healthcare costs; so, by all means, let's have more!
