Farm Fresh Lamb - Springwater Farm

We raise Suffolk sheep which are known for producing great tasting lamb. Our sheep graze on pasture in the summer and are fed hay and oats through the winter months. No animal bi-products, hormones or antibiotics are fed to our sheep producing a wonderul natural product. Visit our farm and step into the porch of a typical PEI century farm house. Here you will find The Shepherd's Nook, our on farm store. In the freezer you'll find delicious farm fresh lamb. We can also take orders for fresh lamb to be picked up on Saturday afternoons. Sheepskins and sheepskin products made right here on our farm are on display. We also have PEI Wool Blankets and Yarn made by MacAusland's Woolen Mills. These are wonderful 100% wool products. Create a free website.

Hay and Straw - Springwater Farm

Square Bales of Hay and Straw. Every year we bale around 12,000-15,000 square bales of hay and about 2000 bales of straw. While some of these are fed here on the farm, most are for our customers. We strive toward dust free hay suitable for horses. Our hay is timothy or timothy/alfalfa mix. The current price of our hay is $3.50 per bale at the barn. Delivery is extra at $4.50 per bale. Minimum charge applies to deliver small orders. We have straw this year. The price is the same as hay.

Sheepskins - Springwater Farm

Sheepskins and Sheepskin Products. We tan all our own sheepskins here on the farm. We use an enviromentally friendly tanning agent that produces a nice soft skin. Whole sheepskins make great rugs and are very poplular on motorcycles. With our sheepskins we make seat cushions that are good for kitchen chairs, car and perfect for 'hockey Mom's' to sit on at the arena. Other sheepskin products include: dusters,. The Life of Sue, Part 2. Tuesday, July 26, 2011. Today was all about the animals. I'm talking about real animals, not my kids. We started out today visiting Buffaloland Provincial Park. From there we went to Panmure Head Lighthouse. Which we climbed all the way to the top. It was pretty cool and we got an amazing view of the ocean from there. In a field right beside the lighthouse were some cool horses, which got a much better reaction from the kids than the horses. From there we went to Springwater Farm.
