Sunday, May 1, 2011. Griffons continue CCSL lead by beating the ZOO. Welp, Ray finally showed up. Still recovering from his "surgery," our fearless captain led us to a second victory. The Griffons started out slowly but their bats finally showed up and they came back in the fifth for the win. There were a few moments of doubt in the 3rd when the Zoo was up six runs but the Griffons rallied and thanks to some of their all-stars they ended up beating them 14-7! Wednesday, July 7, 2010. Taproom Tames the Zoo. On the hottest day of the year, the Tappies overcame a slow start and severe dehydration to defeat the Wild Animals of the Zoo by a score of 17-8. The Zoo got off to a quick start in the top of the 1st inning, scoring 3 runs on a series of ground ball and bloop singles, taking advantage of the extra large gaps in the 3 person SPTR outfield.
