My web design skills are a little on the old side. Probably frozen around 1997; Netscape Navigator 2 would probably render most of my stuff properly. Armed with that I found Lightbox 2. It took 5 minutes to integrate that into my page. And it worked. Trouble is that it required jQuery so the whole thing took over 100K. So You Start Server. I was drunk one night. I have a linode. And a Panix v-colo. These servers do everything I want. Do a physical server rental program. It's not necessarily the best server in the world, but it's pretty good. The So You Start. SYS) server starts at around $50 month. Some more thoughts on VM techniques for home use. Two years ago I looked at some options for doing virtualisation at home. I decided on running Citrix XenServer. This has actually worked out quite well. So much so that I want to move some of my remaining physical hardware onto virtual. And here I run into a problem.
