Friday, February 7, 2014. Cleveland snow, back before we were done with it. Back when the snow was still pretty and we knew nothing of this thing called a "polar vortex," I took these one night. I knelt on my couch and shot through my front bay window at about 1am the week of Thanksgiving. The world felt quiet and peaceful. The snow was still magical and mesmerizing. Wednesday, November 13, 2013. I can't decide. I'm not sure whether I'm more excited or more nervous. But I'm both, for sure! Let me back up a bit. I love the town I live in. It is home to just under 30,000 people, racially and ethnically diverse, has excellent schools, is clean, happy, etc. It's got a great vitality, and there's been a movement started in the last year or so - called Shop Shaker. That is heavily aimed at shopping locally, giving exposure to local businesses, etc. Hope to see you there!

I don't normally do a lot of black-and-white conversions, but despite the beautiful light and scenery, so many of these images seemed even more striking in the classic look than in color. Monday, April 8, 2013. Fall 2012 photo dump. Robyn was blessed and we went to the Great Lakes Science Center. Both over Labor Day weekend. We visited the Greater Cleveland Aquarium. A few times, including on International Talk Like A Pirate Day. Benjamin even came with us once. Julie started preschool. The "real" kind, not the mom-run kind. Julie also did soccer, which entailed sitting and crying on my or Ben's laps for an hour because other kids didn't let her get the ball. Robyn in her blessing dress.
