Saturday, May 4, 2013. Not Going to Lose It. Still, I would appreciate no repeats of last week. I'm not sure my body can handle it. Unless someone is prepared to offer me free massages. I had tons of ideas for projects I wanted to make so I checked online and found this pullover pattern. I'm using Cascade Eco Wool. I hope the rest of you are relaxing a little this weekend as well! Vivid Creation Fibers: March 2013
http://thekniftyknitter.blogspot.com/2013_03_01_archive.html
Sunday, March 31, 2013. Why Am I Surprised When God Shows Up? About 2 weeks ago I sent out a request for help. Surprised to see me? How do like this shirt I just picked up at the church rummage sale? I'm the best at putting Jesus in a box. Like, trying to define what He can do by what my feeble human mind can think up. For example, if I pray for donations of shoes then I'm thinking a couple of pairs of ratty sneakers. And then someone gives me 100 pairs of Air Jordans and I'm like, what? See, all the don...

Vivid Creation Fibers: December 2012
http://thekniftyknitter.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html
Sunday, December 30, 2012. What a busy week! I arrived in Romania on Thursday afternoon and have been enjoying seeing all the kids and staff members again. We helped one of the transition graduates and one of the current transition boys celebrate their birthdays. Happy birthday, Florin and Sunny! I don't know what I'm going to do in a week when I have to leave. Saturday, December 22, 2012. Holiday preparations are well under way! Through this doorway lies the workspace of doom. Enter if you dare. Does it...

Vivid Creation Fibers: August 2012

Friday, August 31, 2012. Something Awesome This Way Comes. I've been sitting on some pretty big news for about a week now and I'm finally ready to share it with you. I was waiting on one finally piece of information to fall into place and now it seems like everything is set. First a little background:. As many of you (hopefully) know, I started a charity several years ago called the Eastern European and Russian Orphanages Project. I figured that maybe 15 or 20 friends on Ravelry. Another one of my favori...

Vivid Creation Fibers: Shut it Down
http://thekniftyknitter.blogspot.com/2013/04/shut-it-down.html
Tuesday, April 2, 2013. Shut it down" is a popular phrase I often use with my therapy clients when discussing negative thought stopping. Just shut it down. I wish I'd take my own advice sometimes. Yesterday I got a bit of discouraging news. It wasn't anything earth shattering, just something I knew would be problematic for the non profit. Immediately I began the "Prayer Scramble": frantically uttered prayers as I dash around trying to figure out ways to circumvent the impending setbacks. Will be done in ...

Knit Picky: May 2008
http://knit-picky.blogspot.com/2008_05_01_archive.html
Monday, 19 May 2008. Sucked. I decided to devote one whole week to knitting 9x9 squares for Oxfam. I'm keeping one because I have to-it's far too big and won't be usable in the charity blanket. Good thinking on the boyfriend's part, though; we ordered an old Scrabble game on Ebay. And it doesn't have the nice handy bag for all the letter tiles to live in-enter effed up Oxfam. I am glad to see the end of Oxfam. You know what, even if it does, I'm ok. Mine; the red one is way too small, good thing it's str...

Knit Picky: Do Good-er
http://knit-picky.blogspot.com/2008/04/do-good-er.html
Wednesday, 30 April 2008. Whilst perusing what fellow knitters are up to on Craftster. Online community/forum I stumbled across an article about Oxfam. Http:/ www.oxfam.org.uk/applications/blogs/campaigners/2008/03/wanted knitting activists to d 1.html. I don't have money to donate to charity, but I do have lots and lots of yarn. If you enjoy being able to go to the doctor whenever you need to you should contribute, because not everyone has that luxury. OK, political message over. Life of the Alien.
