Window Painting | Phidelity Blog

By kris — 1 Comment. November 8, 2008. I’ve been wanting to find a nice medium in between the computer and the physical and the medium of painting windows is just that for me. It allows me to exercise what I know how to do on a computer to execute what would otherwise be beyond my means in the physical world. Rule 1: There is no Command Z in real life, no matter how many times you say it in your head when things arent happening the way you want there is no changing that fact. Anyways thats all I have for...

Pythagorean & Fractal Geometry Art | Phidelity Blog
http://www.phidelity.com/blog/fractal/pythagoras-tree
By kris — 15 Comments. January 9, 2008. So it all started with a challenge that was posted on the Xenodream pix list to work with the Pythagorean Tree. As illustrated below, The Pythagoras tree is a plane fractal constructed from squares. It is named after Pythagoras because each triple of touching squares encloses a right triangle, in a configuration traditionally used to depict the Pythagorean theorem. Garth, the creator of Xenodream had posted the initial .xep file. Below are a few other images I made...

Tipper – The Seamless Unspeakable Something Art. By kris — 2 Comments. October 5, 2007. I like Tippers music in the same way that I like air. Air is good. When asked to do the design for this cd I was not only honored but a bit scared that if i dropped the ball on this one I might never let myself live it down. Minor stage fright I suppose as I don’t consider myself a ball dropper. The other images are variations on these shapes with different zooms crops and treatments. Listen to and purchase this album.

Exploring Sierpinski’s Triangle. By kris — 35 Comments. June 27, 2008. Sierpinski’s Triangle (all aspects equilateral) as viewed from above looking straight down. The center is the point. Which makes it very useful for practical applications such as the creation of art work or creating structures that can scale infinitely which is useful for such things as the sand circles we used to do. You can download this xep file for Xenodream. As you can see below the teal lines show that the geometry is also isome...

Kris’ Cabinet of Curiosities: Angeline Chalcedony. By kris — 2 Comments. August 21, 2008. So I just procured the macro lens I needed in order to do these high res close up photos. I am using a manual focus Nikon Micro Nikkor 55mm f2.8 for these photos. (scored for $18 dollars on ebay! A 105mm would be ideal as the bokeh (or so the blurry background is called) wouldnt be so dramatic as with these photos, but Ill simply reshoot and update the pages when I get that lens. A river runs through it apparently.
