SqueezeBoxPharm: April 2012
http://squeezeboxpharm.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.html
Pharmacy school, accordion music, and life in general. Friday, April 13, 2012. So, I was dinking around in the blog stats info and saw a weird referral link. IT WAS FROM A PICTURE OF A WHALE AUUUGH. For those not in the know: I'm horrendously cetaphobic. They're terrifying. Absolutely terrifying. Give me sharks over whales, give me giant squids over whales. ANYTHING. The stuff of nightmares? Whale songs. Lisa Frank. The former pediatric floor of the hospital (whale paintings EVERYWHERE). How is this not ...

SqueezeBoxPharm: July 2011
http://squeezeboxpharm.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html
Pharmacy school, accordion music, and life in general. Thursday, July 28, 2011. This was going to be a video of me playing Spanish Ladies on my lovely accordion Benvolio. (Yes. It's Italian, he was Italian . . . close enough). I've spent a few weeks practicing and figuring out good basal chords from the melody, and it was actually sounding decent. Until I tried recording the video. Benvolio has a loose reed. Benvolio chose to reveal this to me while I was recording. Now I'll never get to be Lawrence Welk.

http://squeezeboxpharm.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html
Pharmacy school, accordion music, and life in general. Friday, February 10, 2012. Of Monsters and Men. Or, I'm in a hotel in Rochester scrambling for a blog topic and Cody is great at finding music. They're an Icelandic indie/folk group with a pretty unique sound. I've got to use all of this pharmacy knowledge for something, right? Yes, I'm using my powers for evil. Shh. Maybe next time Ill have something meaningful to say. Wednesday, February 8, 2012. Sleeves Can Suck It. Can attest to this. I'm still t...

SqueezeBoxPharm: January 2012
http://squeezeboxpharm.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html
Pharmacy school, accordion music, and life in general. Friday, January 27, 2012. I have the great fortune of having a preceptor who went through the terror that is trying to find a residency. As my first interview is on Monday, he let me leave early today. I made great use of my extra time by, er, taking a nap and then dinking around on the internet. All in the name of reaching that zen-like state of not being nervous on the interview! And in attempt to stave off the cold I can feel starting. First, lemo...

Little Bonobo's Book Café. Reading, writing, and creativity explored here. Monday, September 17, 2012. Writing your first novel? Helpful blogs for new writers. An old friend of mine from high school recently made the huge decision to write his first novel. Awesome! Websites, and blogs. I learned a lot from agents, editors, and authors—both published and unpublished. I learned about craft (the MFA didn't teach me everything. Rachelle Gardner, literary agent. When I first started reading this blog, its aut...

Little Bonobo's Book Café: December 2013
http://littlebonobosbookcafe.blogspot.com/2013_12_01_archive.html
Little Bonobo's Book Café. Reading, writing, and creativity explored here. Monday, December 30, 2013. Living without topic sentences. Here's another thing about me: I like setting goals. A LOT. Which means I get really into making resolutions. So much so that I do it twice a year, at New Year's and on my birthday. I sat down yesterday to write down my New Year's resolutions for 2014. With each resolution— Run at least ten miles a week, Keep a daily journal, Put clothes away, Edit and illustrate. 1) Try h...

Friday, January 20, 2012. The Versatile Blogger Award. Thanks to Joe Iriarte. And Steven P. Watson. For nominating me for the Versatile Blogger Award! They're both awesome; check them out (click their names to view their blogs)! Is the rarest of people: a native Floridian (which killed me because nearly all of my family fall into that category - what were the odds? His blog features in-depth, thought-provoking posts with a pinch of cynicism. So here are the rules:. 2) I became a widow less than two month...

SqueezeBoxPharm: April 2010
http://squeezeboxpharm.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html
Pharmacy school, accordion music, and life in general. Monday, April 12, 2010. It didn't help that this was before we realized I needed glasses. That ordeal turned me off the whole process for a good while, but when I found a pattern covered in sea creatures and boats I decided I'd give it another shot. This is what it will look like when finished. If that's at all possible. Surely this will be enjoyable. All the way through. Two hours later. Despair is setting in at how ridiculously long this takes.

SqueezeBoxPharm: November 2009
http://squeezeboxpharm.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html
Pharmacy school, accordion music, and life in general. Monday, November 30, 2009. Well, it's been a while since I've updated. Again, it's been a very busy few weeks - I went to Moscow, got an accordion from a favorite professor, took a few exams, had a very eventful Thanksgiving break, wrote 50,000 words . . . Saturday, November 7, 2009. Minor Delays and Spidercake. The day before Halloween was the pharmacy school's Halloween party, and I entered the dessert contest with this delightful gem:. Make four r...
