A Jacks of All Trades: March 2011
http://ajacksofalltrades.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html
A Jacks of All Trades. Friday, March 18, 2011. I tend to put a little of this, and a little of that in this blog. I know it has no main "theme," but rather just my random thoughts and stories as I think of them. I thought I would post a recipe this time, and see how it goes. I'd like to post some restaurant reviews in the future, as well. Just because I love food, and love writing and talking about it. I know those of you who actually read this thing (hello? Anyway, on to the recipe. You can serve this d...

A Jacks of All Trades: November 2010
http://ajacksofalltrades.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html
A Jacks of All Trades. Tuesday, November 30, 2010. My weight loss journey. I knew that Weight Watchers had unveiled a new plan in the last few days. One of my friends already tipped me off. As I stood impatiently waiting in line, I listened to the leader with half an ear and thought back to my own beginnings at WW. So yes, I am proud of myself and glad I am living a healthier lifestyle. That won't stop me from enjoying dinner at my favorite Greek restaurant tomorrow night, though, and chowing down on...

A Jacks of All Trades: I Love the 80's, part 2: Fashion and Toys
http://ajacksofalltrades.blogspot.com/2011/09/i-love-80s-part-2-fashion-and-toys.html
A Jacks of All Trades. Friday, September 23, 2011. I Love the 80's, part 2: Fashion and Toys. I didn't mean for such a long time to go in between 80's posts. But here I am again, finally updating my unabashed worship of the "me" decade. I swear, what would I do without that website In the 80's? More toys that I loved to death were Dolly Pops; little flat dolls that had snap on clothes and accessories. You can still find them on ebay! I have no idea! Neon nail polish, bracelets. t-shirts. Yeah. 65279;I ha...

A Jacks of All Trades: TV Review: Game of Thrones
http://ajacksofalltrades.blogspot.com/2011/06/tv-review-game-of-thrones.html
A Jacks of All Trades. Thursday, June 30, 2011. TV Review: Game of Thrones. Warning: Possible minor spoilers ahead for Game of Thrones. If you have any interest in watching the show or reading the books, go no further. Where could it go wrong? Now all we had to wait was two years. Easy, right? I kept myself occupied reading through all the books, but others who didn't want to were very anxious indeed. So my thoughts on the series? Sansa and the Hound have an interesting.friendship later on in the boo...

A Jacks of All Trades: October 2011
http://ajacksofalltrades.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html
A Jacks of All Trades. Friday, October 7, 2011. A hamburger with two donuts as a bun? And this year I indulged in some food. I bough a gyro, which was excellent, and some fried dough, which was not so much. And might I inquire WHY people in New England put red sauce on fried dough? Who knew they were such avid potato growers? But a baked potato? Come on. You can get that anywhere! Lame I'm certainly not going to wait 20 minutes in line for a stupid spud. So, did I have a good time? Posted by Jacks Bee.

A Jacks of All Trades: July 2011
http://ajacksofalltrades.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html
A Jacks of All Trades. Tuesday, July 12, 2011. Transformers 3: A Nerd's Review. I was extremely cautious going into Transformers: 3. I really enjoyed the first one (it surprised even me how much I liked it), hated the second one (thanks for ruining the Constructicons, you prick) and didn't know what to expect with the last (? One My verdict: It was better than 2, but not *good.* Meaning, I didn't love it; I didn't hate it. This will be spoiler-free, so no worries. View their badassness here:. And then so...

A Jacks of All Trades: December 2010
http://ajacksofalltrades.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html
A Jacks of All Trades. Thursday, December 16, 2010. Today is six years since my mother passed away. I wasn't sure I should write this, but a lot of people didn't know my mom, and I'm hoping maybe they'd like to read a little bit about her. My mom loved putting the tree up. Once we started using an artificial tree her mantra was, "It has to be up the day after Thanksgiving! My mom liked to dance. Whenever there was one of those big Italian family get-togethers, my mom would cut a rug. Or so everyo...She w...

A Jacks of All Trades: The Legend of Zelda: A Love Story
http://ajacksofalltrades.blogspot.com/2011/12/legend-of-zelda-love-story.html
A Jacks of All Trades. Tuesday, December 6, 2011. The Legend of Zelda: A Love Story. I've been pondering a Zelda post since I started my blog. I wasn't sure how to handle it, at first. There are so many games, and so many great stories to go with this franchise. But know this: (and if you don't already-shame on you) The Legend of Zelda is my favorite game franchise ever. Period. So what is it about the game that inspires such devotion in video game fans? Let's explore some of the reasons why I love it.

A Jacks of All Trades: January 2011
http://ajacksofalltrades.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html
A Jacks of All Trades. Wednesday, January 26, 2011. Now is the Winter of our Discontent. I haven't posted in awhile. Probably because this winter has been miserable. I've been miserable. Everyone around me is miserable. Don't get me wrong: Christmas was lovely, I had a nice time with the family, and New Year's Eve was the typical bad movie/bad food eating night it always is. However. That's just not right. It's made me think of investing stock in Kleenex, Halls, and Nyquil. Not helping things: the weathe...
